The Hamilton Beach HBB250S is a nice machine that does a solid job of blending. It doesn't move while blending juices or smoothies, because the base is solid and stays put;I like that.
Drinks remain cool, since the blender cup is steel. One thing, I put in about 6 ice cubes and one small piece did not blend completely. Even so, this beats my other blender by miles. I am satisfied with the Hamilton Beach HBB250S;it is much better than any I've ever owned.
Great Blender; Heavy Duty Use
I did not purchase this blender from Amazon. Five years ago when I bought mine, I had to order it from a restaurant supply because it wasn't on Amazon. Needless to say, five years later, here I am to purchase a second blender. After five years of pretty consistent (3-4 times a week all summer long) for 5 years, the gasket has finally worn out and it has begun to leak at the bottom.
But I don't care. It lasted FIVE YEARS! That's a big deal (to me anyway) considering how much I use this blender during "blender season."
It crushes ice like a pro, but it does work best if you pulse several times to break down the bigger pieces of ice and then flip it on high for about 15 seconds.
The stainless steel jar is a major plus because it keeps drinks cold and you don't have to worry about a glass jar breaking or a polycarbonate one getting cracked and crazed.
I went ahead and put my jar in the dishwasher, which is a likely contributor to it having begun...
Not up to standard
Not bad but sent it back. Didn't blend all that well, my old Cuisinart got my piña colada blended a lot better. The service from the distributor and Amazom were both great.
