Now if only the OEM service life would (for a change) match the seller service!
First, the igniter itself: It was an exact fit and match for our ole otherwise trusty Caloric>Amana>Maytag>(whoever owns the design presently) oven. And it came with proper ceramic wire nuts (two small ones), something no prior purchase had; not a biggie, but every little bit helps imho. The packing of the igniter itself was proper, with thick top and bottom foam padding, with the enveloped igniter in a stiff cardboard cylinder/tube. I checked to verify that it also matches the OEM electrical amperage specifications.
A bit of back story... this oven gets put through the paces via my mother. The service tech that handled the unit while under warrant said she was rare amongst today's typical oven user. Thus the annual replacement of the igniter, under warranty, via his experienced opinion was likely expected. And long after Amana-Maytag no longer offered extended warranty and our going to replacing them ourselves still. Good that we get the benefit of all...
Spent $20 for nothing but troubles
You should not trust folks at Seneca River Trading. They sent me a wrong part and no explanation or apology when I asked them about wrong part received. I ended up spending $20 for nothing but troubles because they only refunded for the item itself. Do not trust these guys and do not buy anything from them. There are better places out there. I am very angry now. Even 1 star is too much for them. I wish I can give them negative rating.
Works Great
Product arrived quickly and in good condition. So far so good. Packed very well in a stiff cardboard tube. See how long this one lasts. 5th igniter since I bought this stove. Lesson learned, don't use the self cleaning feature on this oven. Burns out igniters in short order if you do.
